Well, i was going to photoshop something, but idk...i didnt really have much inspiration. So i looked up pictures that other people made for the book The Kite Runner and used them! So yea, i DID NOT make this one, i just liked it and took it.
This picture is based on the book, which illustrates a boys hands after a kite-fight. You see, in the winter season, the students in Afghanistan would have recess, sort of like our summer break. During this break, every boy would either make or buy kites. These kites weren't just ordinary kites, though. The strings that they were attached to had bits of glass and aluminum glued on them. That's where kite-fighting comes in. The boys would fly their kites and use their glass strings to cut the other kids' strings. Then, the kids would run after the kite. This continued until the last two kites were left. Finally, after the last string was cut, the boys would go CRAZY and run after and try to catch that kite-- it was sorta like the trophy. The one who caught that last kite was like a champion kite runner. And im guessing that most of you could understand now why that kid's hands are bloody, b.c hes been chasing after kites still covered with glass.
At first i didnt unterstand the meaning of the title, but after reading this i finally understood how they got the title The Kite Runner.

The book is about a boy, Amir, who was the son of a wealthy and successful man in afghanistan. He becomes best friends with Hassan, the son of his father's servant. When Afghanistan gets invaded by the soviets, amir and his father flee to California, leaving everything behind him, including Hassan. Although he thinks that his past is, well, in the past, he discovers that his memories comes back to haunt him.
